– Jemima Street –
Hey Ya’ll my name is Jemima Street, I am 33 years old and I was Born and raised in Utah! I am a mom of one handsome 11 year old boy and married to my high school sweetheart and love of my life. We currently live in American Fork Utah. When I am not riding my horses, I help pay for my habit (of horses) as a personal assistant and event manager.
I didn’t grow up barrel racing I didn’t even grow up with horses. I got my first horse when I was 14, and still have him today. My riding consisted of hunting and trail rides with my dad and Older brother. My horse and I had never seem the inside of the arena. My family didn’t rodeo, I didn’t even have friends that were into horses like I was. In fact I didn’t run my first barrel race until I was in my 30’s. Hard to believe that just a year and a half ago I didn’t even own a barrel horse. Now I’m competing against girls (and guys) that have been doing this all their lives.
My horse is a beautiful 7 year old Palomino grandson of the great Frenchmans Guy. I got him in September of 2017. He hadn’t been running barrels prior to me getting him. We started our barrel career together and he is the first Barrel horse I have started. We have learned so much together in the last year. I am super excited to start our WPRA run this year! I know it will be a tough road ahead with really fierce competition. I look forward to learning so much more and gaining experience to help us in the years to come of competing. Long live cowgirls, and Happy trails friends!
– DeAnna Critton –
My name is DeAnna Critton and I am married to Dalton Critton. We have two amazing children that are our whole world. I am a professional barrel racer and have blessed with an amazing horse named Roxy. We started this season with Just wanting to season her and with high hopes to make our Wilderness circuit finals. We were fortunate enough to make it. For 2019 we have qualified for the bigger rodeoes so we are going to hit the road a lot harder and see what God has in store for us. We also have a lot of nice babies coming up to hopefully be ready to help Roxy in the coming year. We are just enjoying the ride getting to do what we love with nice horses and a wonderful family supporting us.
– Kami Bird –
Growing up in the small town of Downey Idaho, Kami discovered her love of horses and rodeo early on by competing in junior rodeos and high school rodeos. This is when she fell in love with the thrill and speed of barrel racing. When Kami moved to Utah, she took nearly a 20-year break from rodeo and horses to raise her two amazing children. For the last couple of seasons, she has been running barrels at local jackpots and rodeos in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona. Initially racing with her one horse, Jasper, this last year she has expanded her riding stock and is currently running three additional horses competitively. In addition to running rodeos, she is also training a couple of young prospects that she will be running through their futurity seasons next year.
The horse Kami will be running primarily this year is Striker AKA “Marshmallow”.
I am super excited and grateful for this opportunity and want to say a big thank you to all my friends and family that support me.
Let the rodeo season begin!!!
